The team at Wildland was excited to take delivery of our four new e-bikes at Killiehuntly at Easter. The new Trek Firefly 4 e-bikes are an impressive bit of kit that are available for guests to hire. The e-bike revolution has been bubbling in the UK for some time with us Highlanders a bit sceptical – you know how we like to make things hard for ourselves sometimes!

These bikes give all abilities the opportunity to get out there and it is amazing how much ground you can cover in a short period of time. Do not be fooled though – they are pedal assist – meaning you do have to put some effort in!

Ali MacDonell and Victoria Marlowe recently took Emma Grant,  Fiona McCulloch and Lana Richardson of Wildland on a training morning, covering 30 kilometres from Killiehuntly to Glenfeshie taking advantage of the new road network with a lovely, well earned, lunch stop at Balguish Bothy on the way home. Lana kindly donned the fluorescent jacket just in case we needed to attract the rescue helicopter at any point. Well done girls, you all made it!
