As Lundies Head Housekeeper you will be an integral part of the Lundies front of house management team. Working alongside and supporting the Lundies Manager, you will embrace the concept and help manage Accommodation, Hospitality and Guest Experience at Lundies House. You will relish the challenge and excitement of opening this new accommodation destination, assisting with taking the business forward and establishing a successful and recognised hospitality operation.


Key Duties

Assist the Lundies Manager in delivering the overall day to day smooth running and operation of Lundies House through good management, planning and organisational skills.

In the absence of the Manager, organise the work duties of the Front of House staff team by managing, motivating and supporting them as necessary.

Ensure rooms are cleaned to the Company’s standard and within the required timeframe.

Ensure the cleanliness of all linen and furnishings across the property through good attention to detail and reporting and resolving any maintenance and repair issues that arise.

Organise and coordinate stock control, including assisting with weekly stocktakes and stock control of linen, all cleaning products and beverages.

Assist with service of meals, drinks, housekeeping, hosting, upkeep and maintenance of Lundies House as necessary on a daily basis.

In the absence of the Manager, create rotas.

Assist with ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health & safety and other statutory regulations.

Be a confident reservation system user with the Rezlynx online software platform. Regular tasks will include;

 – reviewing and extracting reservation reports for internal weekly planning

 – reviewing individual reservations details to deliver on any guest requests

 – checking guests in and out, including creating and preparing guest bills and taking payments on departure.

Be a good host, provide local area information and overseeing the arrival and departure process of guests.

Help assist the Lundies Manager with the implement of Guest Activities and Experiences.

Take direction and guidance from the Concept & Design Manager, working alongside side them to establish, implement and grow design and concept principles.


Personal Attributes

Hold experience at Supervisor or Junior Manager level managing at the successful operation of a guesthouse or small hotel, preferably within the luxury market.

Applications are welcome from those who are currently working at a more junior level and are looking to progress their career.

Have experience supervising staff teams and establishing successful working relationships, whilst overseeing the quality of their work, within set company guidelines and using your own knowledge and standards.

You will be comfortable being a face of Lundies House, always at hand for guests and ensuring the seamless operation of the business.

Be a confident decision maker and hold the ability to work independently to meet company standards and possess a openness to take guidance from your seniors and colleagues alike.

You will be an excellent communicator, with a approachable, warm and friendly manner and positive outlook, with the ability to establish yourself as a respected team supervisor.

Passionate about delivering quality guest experiences and achieving guest satisfaction.

Good attention to detail and the ability to manage your workload in an efficient manner.

Computing skills including; Microsoft Office, Outlook, Dropbox,Cloud applications. The successful applicant will use Apple Mac equipment.

Experience using hospitality reservation/property management system software. The successful applicant will use the Rezlynx online platform – training on this system can be provided if required.

Have knowledge and understanding of licensing laws, health & safety and other statutory regulations.

Hold a current valid driving license.

Be passionate about the Highlands of Scotland; having first-hand knowledge of the local area would be highly advantageous.

Have a personal interest in creative and active subjects such as design, interiors, high-level cuisine and outdoor pursuits inline with Wildland’s principles.
