Call of the Wild: Wildland x Wild Gorse Retreat

Stay Where The World Can’t Find You

Embark on a unique personal journey with Wildland and Wild Gorse, the renowned Scottish fine art floristry studio, as we host our first wild retreat together in the furthest reaches of the Northern Highlands.

What awaits is an earthy exploration and immersion in nature, a thoughtfully curated programme of intimate workshops and unique activities designed to unearth your creativity, leading to a strong bond with yourself, others and the surrounding wilderness.

Your three night stay, will be hosted by Julia herself, the extraordinary founder of Wild Gorse. Julia and her team of expert practitioners will guide each participant through a series of considered workshops including botanical dyeing, foraging, floristry, sourdough making, botanical installation art and landscape sculpture.

You’ll of course have the opportunity to experience the best of Kinloch Lodge and the surrounding grounds. That means participating in yoga sessions, forest bathing and sound baths, all under the expert guidance of Christie Wood. There will also be ample time to explore the estate grounds, go wild swimming, or find warmth and relaxation in our outdoor sauna.

Kinloch Lodge, our exclusive hire destination, near Tongue, is located in a special and secluded spot beneath the ancient peaks of Ben Loyal. Once the shooting lodge of the Dukes of Sutherland, Kinloch retains much of its vernacular charm, yet has been reimagined to become the most welcoming home for those who don’t wish to be found.

Our dedicated chef and team will prepare all meals during your stay and you can expect delicious and nourishing seasonal dishes and drinks that make the most of everything the wild Scottish larder has to offer.

Limited spaces are available on the retreat which runs from the 14th to the 17th of March. As a member of the Wildland community, we’re excited to share that you’ll be granted early access to bookings. To receive more details or reserve a place, please register your interest by emailing hello@wildland.scot and our team will be in touch very soon.
