As Lundies Manager you will be the leader and ‘culture bearer’. You will embrace the concept and take responsibility for Accommodation, Hospitality and Guest Experience at Lundies House. You will relish the challenge and excitement of opening this new accommodation destination, and be responsible for taking the business forward and establishing a successful and recognised hospitality operation.

You will work closely with Wildland’s Concept & Design Manager to set and adopt the tone and embrace the challenges of excellence in all we do – and Wildland’s Hospitality Director to run a professional and top-quality operation.


Key Duties

Ensuring the overall day to day smooth running and operation of Lundies House through hands on operations, good management, planning and organisational skills.

Work successfully alongside the Lundies Chef to meet our business and guest demands.

Organise the work duties of the Front of House staff team by managing, motivating, supporting them as necessary. As Manager you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a happy team whilst ensuring standards are achieved.

Understand and control the operational P&L of Lundies House.

Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health & safety and other statutory regulations.

Be a confident reservation system user with the Rezlynx online software platform. Regular tasks will include;

 – reviewing and extracting reservation reports for internal weekly planning.

 – reviewing individual reservations details to deliver on any guest requests.

 – checking guests in and out, including creating and preparing guest bills and taking payments on departure.

 – reviewing and extracting product and finance reports to analysis of sales trends and head office reporting.

 – responsibility for training and overseeing your staff team with the use of the system.

Be a good host, provide local area information and overseeing the arrival and departure process of guests.

Assist with service of meals, drinks, housekeeping, hosting, upkeep and maintenance of Lundies House as necessary on a daily basis.

Create rotas.

Help implement Guest Activities and Experiences.

Weekly stocktake of beverages for ordering.

Stock control, and restocking as required, all cleaning products.

Liaise with the Head Office – Accounts, Activities & Bookings, Administration & HR.

Take direction and guidance from the Concept & Design Manager, working alongside side them to establish, implement and grow design and concept principles at Lundies House.

Manage the work standards of external suppliers/contractors for any maintenance works.


Personal Attributes

Hold experience managing the successful operation of a guesthouse or small hotel preferably within the luxury market.

Have experience managing and building positive staff teams and establishing successful working relationships, whilst overseeing the personal development of your team and the quality of their work, using your own knowledge and standards as a benchmark.

You will be very comfortable and happy being a face of Lundies House, always at hand for guests and ensuring the seamless operation of the business.

Be a confident decision maker and hold the ability to work independently to meet company standards and possess an openness to take guidance from your seniors and colleagues alike.

You will be an excellent communicator, with an approachable, warm and friendly manner and positive outlook, with the ability to establish yourself as a respected team leader.

Passionate about delivering quality guest experiences and achieving guest satisfaction.

Good attention to detail and the ability to manage your workload in an efficient manner.

Computing skills including; Microsoft Office, Outlook, Dropbox,Cloud applications. The successful applicant will use Apple Mac equipment.

Experience using hospitality reservation/property management system software. The successful applicant will use the Rezlynx online platform – training on this system will be provided if required.

Have knowledge and understanding of licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.

Hold a current valid driving license.

Be passionate about the Highlands of Scotland; having first-hand knowledge of the local area would be highly advantageous.

Have a personal interest in creative and active subjects such as design, interiors, high-level cuisine and outdoor pursuits inline with Wildland’s principles.
