Key Duties

The Lundies Night Porter will be solely responsible for Lundies House and our guests safety overnight so a person of responsible nature is required for this position.

Knowledge of H&S regulations alongside any previous training certification achieved in First Aid, Fire Safety and/or Fire Warden would be highly advantageous for this position. Training will be provided as necessary.

Be confident working front of house; interacting with guests and be a good host throughout their stay.

Assist with the services of beverages after dinner and setting up the dining room for breakfast.

Assist with ensuring the overall upkeep of the property through good overnight housekeeping, cleaning fireplaces, laundry assistance finishing after dinner cleaning and detailing any maintenance issues.

Assist with any late arrivals and early departure of guests.

Prepare guest invoices for checkout by adding charges for any bar beverages or other products taken whilst resident. 

Become an ambassador for our properties and estates; understanding their individual key features in terms of location, design, and concept. It is what we can offer which sets us apart to other hospitality providers.

 

Personal Attributes

Have a warm and friendly manner.

Able to work independently and manage your own work.

Be a good communicator and have great customer service skills.

Good attention to detail and the ability to manage your workload in a timely manner.

Hold a current valid driving license.

Basic computer skills and experience using reservation systems would be advantageous, though not essential.

Be passionate about the Highlands of Scotland; having first-hand knowledge of the local area would be highly advantageous.

 

Other Info:

Full Time, Permanent position. 2 x Part Time positions will also be considered.

Overnight working hours.

Rest area will be provided.
