Supporting Our Communities - Help for Abernethy Primary
At Wildland it is of vital importance to us that we provide help where we can, supporting the communities in which we live, operate and are a part of. Earlier this year, Abernethy Primary School’s Parent Council reached out to us asking for some financial support.
Some of the P7 pupils had previously approached the Head Teacher and the Parent Council, asking if the school would consider purchasing additional outdoor play equipment for the school, namely somersault bars.
The school supported this and the pupils had come forward with fundraising ideas. Unfortunately the second wave of covid hit and the pupils were not able to progress their ideas at the time. Furthermore subsequently the supplier came back with a new quote for the equipment which had almost doubled in price. Other quotes were sought but to no avail.
Following the Parent Council’s request for a donation, Wildland were pleased to provide a donation of one thousand pounds which covered the cost of the equipment. All at Wildland is delighted to hear that the equipment was installed earlier this year and the pupils are now enjoying the equipment.
