Nights one, two and three

Glenfeshie Lodge

Cairngorms

Bringing together a large group of family or friends is a rare moment in life. Your time together begins in Glenfeshie, surrounded by a landscape alive with regeneration. Ancient pines, open glens and a winding river create a setting that invites exploration or quiet contemplation, depending on your family’s mood.

Walk together through the forest on trails suited to children and adults. Those seeking adventure can cycle on e-bikes deep into the glens, take bracing swims in the river or enjoy a classic Highland pony picnic, a favourite for families.

In the evening, gather around the long dining table for meals prepared by our chefs in the glow of shared experience.  When it’s time to travel north, enjoy the journey at your own pace, perhaps stopping at majestic Dunrobin Castle, surrounded by history and gardens overlooking the sea.

Nights four, five and six

Kinloch Lodge

Sutherland

Your final three nights are spent at Kinloch Lodge, a relaxed and restful home cradled beneath Ben Loyal, with views stretching across river, moor and mountain. This is a place where families can spread out and slow down with long wanders along pristine white-sand beaches spotting seals and collecting shells. The brave might choose an exhilarating dip in the North Sea and be rewarded with hot chocolate while keen walkers can ascend nearby munros for awe-inspiring panoramas. A visit to the local bakery Burr’s of Tongue is a family favourite for its tempting cakes, well deserved after a day in the wild.

Come evening at Kinloch, the pace is unhurried as chef prepares dinner as you share stories, children wandering in and out of rooms, fires quietly crackling.
