Tucked away within ancient woodlands and offering sweeping views of the glen, Kennels Cottage is a cosy, self-catering retreat for six.

Located in the heart of Glenfeshie, it forms part of WildLand’s flagship conservation project within the Cairngorms National Park, providing a peaceful base to explore the surrounding wilderness.

Kennels Cottage accommodates six guests in two twin bedrooms and one double bedroom, spread across three levels. The inviting kitchen, dining area with log burning stove, and living space featuring an open fire create a warm atmosphere perfect for unwinding after a day on the hills.

Relax in front of a roaring fire in a traditional leather wingback chair in the wood-panelled sitting room framed with wonderful sporting oil paintings, after a day exploring the estate. This self-catering retreat is child-friendly, and pets are welcome by prior arrangement.

Kennels Cottage sits within the wild surrounds of the Cairngorm National Park. Stretching across undulating mountain tops, expansive wetlands and thick, native forests, the national park is home to a rich array of wildlife and local culture.

Set within the calm of Glenfeshie, Kennels Cottage is surrounded by places that invite gentle exploration. Wander to Uath Lochans or along the River Feshie for wild swims, walk the nearby trails through Rothiemurchus, or visit Ruthven Barracks and Loch an Eilein for a glimpse into Highland history. Local farm shops and small cafés nearby make it easy to gather simple provisions and savour the slower rhythms of this remarkable glen.

Kennels Cottage sleeps six across two cosy twin bedrooms and one double bedroom. The cottage features two bathrooms, including a family bathroom and a modern shower room. There is a sitting room with open fire, a separate dining room, kitchen and utility room. Outdoors there is a private garden with furniture and drive way with plenty of parking.

What amenities are offered at Kennels Cottage? +

In the cottage you’ll find:

Plenty of logs, firelights, kindling and matches.

Basic kitchen provisions of toilet paper, washing powder, dishwasher tablets and soap will be in your cottage for arrival as well as some larder provisions to get you started – tea, coffee, milk, bread, jam, yoghurt, oil, salt and pepper – plus a BBQ for outdoor cooking. There is a coffee machine with coffee pods.

 

All bedlinen and towels are included, plus rather lovely toiletries including shower wash, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion.

 

There is a utility room with washer/dryer, iron and ironing board – plus laundry detergent. The kitchen has a dishwasher.

 

Cots are available on request for wee ones.

 

E-bikes are also available to hire on request.

The cottage costs from £500 per night, with a minimum stay of three nights on a self-catering basis.

You can enjoy your cottage from 4pm on the day of arrival. We kindly ask that you depart by 10am on your final day.

 

This cottage is Dog Friendly – please do let us know if you plan on bringing your dog.
