Glenfeshie Lodge

Exterior+03.jpg

A place for celebration and sharing.

Glenfeshie is a living landscape - a place once blighted by deforestation is now beginning to repair itself at a rapid pace. We are delighted to offer you the opportunity to take Glenfeshie’s historic lodge for your exclusive use - a place for celebration, sharing and adventure.

With every turn you take on the road to the lodge, you leave behind whatever you were doing a short while ago. The grandness of the glen with its wide Feshie River captivates the senses and stills the soul. Light and shade shifts as if highlighting one beautiful spot after the other which Mother Nature proudly wants you to see. You’re home.

If these walls could talk…

Old Highland swagger.

Glenfeshie’s lodge dates back to the1880s. The lodge had played host to Queen Victoria, and it is said that the famous painting “Monarch of the Glen” by Edwin Landseer originates from this area.

We are delighted to offer the use of Glenfeshie Lodge to parties of up to 11 people on an exclusive, fully catered basis. Entering through the main door you’ll be greeted by a large hallway that leads to a fantastic historic dining room, a spacious tartan deluxe drawing room with a large stone fireplace, both overlooking the breathtaking glen.

On the upper floor, you have one master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, one large ensuite single room, two single rooms which originally were for  children and three unique ensuite double bedrooms at your disposal.

Come, let’s explore.

The best things in life aren’t things at all.

Nothing clears the head, calms the soul and refreshes the spirit like time spent in nature.

Glenfeshie’s gamekeepers know every corner of this vast estate. For years they have managed the deer, which you may end up shooting on a day out stalking. They know where to fish for salmon or get a glimpse of a golden eagle soaring above the Caledonian Pines. And they know the best routes for Glenfeshie’s famous pony picnics - a one of a kind experience trailing through the glen. In the fully catered lodge our skilled chef will turn locally-sourced ingredients into hearty breakfasts, dinners, lunches and snacks.

 Nature: our greatest asset

Everywhere you look, nature is at work.

Over 5,000 species have been recorded at Glenfeshie; around 20% are ‘Nationally Rare’ or ‘Scarce’ - some are completely unique in Britain. Eagles, wildcats, pine martens, ospreys, black grouse, ptarmigan, otters and many more species call this glen home. In 2016, the forests in the Cairngorms were habitat to half the UK’s population of male Capercaillie - the world’s largest grouse and a bird under serious threat in Scotland.
