Your Space

A traditional stone dwelling with a slate-tiled roof, Ferryman’s Cottage is designed for small groups. It sits in a secluded location on the banks of Loch Hope, shrouded in greenery and heather with awe-inspiring views over the glimmering waters to the mountains beyond.

Inside, the cottage is swathed in warm timbers, giving it an instantly homely feel. Beyond this, the placement of unusual craft, large art canvases and copper accents allow style elements to shine through. The kitchen is the heart of the property while the comfortable living room and open fire is a perfect spot to wind down.

Two bedrooms, one twin and one double, are enclosed in the eaves, and the bathroom with its deep copper tub is ideal for long, post-hike soaks.

While staying at Ferryman’s Cottage, make the space your own. The homely kitchen has everything you need to craft delicious meals, whether you choose to eat at the rustic kitchen table, in the garden or perhaps in front of the fire.

Mornings start with the encompassing Highland light filling the kitchen and flooding your soul while you prepare easy breakfasts to be enjoyed in your own time.

Lunch might be a picnic out in the wild as you explore deeply into Sutherland’s vast and dramatic landscapes.

Come evening, slow the pace with a wholesome candle-lit dinner or ask our chefs for a cottage supper to be delivered to your door, which can be warmed directly in the Aga.
