Killiehunty Bothy

At the centre of the Killiehuntly courtyard is our little bothy. Best suited for a family, the bothy has a double room and a twin bunk-bed room, as well as a cosy wee sitting room and a fully-equipped kitchen.

The Killiehuntly Bothy includes a double and twin (bunk beds) room with a shared bathroom.

The cottage also has a cosy living space with a log stove, and a kitchen/dining room stocked with essentials, as well as a washer/dryer, toiletries, towels, a good supply of firewood and cleaning supplies.

Our Food

The farm office at Killiehuntly plays host to a little shop, where you can find curated food provisions as well as local spirits and beers to enjoy during your stay with us.

The Killiehuntly Bothy is offered on a self-catering basis only. That gives you the freedom to cook whatever you like during your stay. The Bothy also has a little BBQ grill and some outdoor seating, so you can enjoy the view on warmer days.

Things to do

Adjoining the bothy is a closed herb garden, a lovely place to sit and watch the sun set over the mountains beyond. The bothy is a wonderfully simple space to base yourself as you explore the Highlands.

From the Bothy, wander forest paths, cycle into the Cairngorms or dip into clear river pools. Nearby cafés, farm shops and gentle hill trails offer easy days out, while our team can guide you to favourite wild-swimming spots and quiet places to pause.

Cottage Details +

Best suited to families, Killiehuntly Bothy accommodates four guests in a double bedroom and a twin (bunk beds) room. The cottage has one shared bathroom. There is a living room with a log stove, and a kitchen/dining room.

 

Outdoors there is a little private garden with seating. The Bothy forms part of the steading courtyard at Killiehuntly and overlooks the farm buildings and beyond.

What amenities are offered at Killiehuntly Bothy? +

In the cottage you’ll find:

Plenty of logs, firelights, kindling and matches.

Basic kitchen provisions of toilet paper and soap will be in your cottage for arrival as well as some larder provisions to get you started – tea, coffee, milk, bread, jam, yoghurt, oil, salt and pepper – plus a BBQ for outdoor cooking. There is a coffee machine with coffee pods.

 

All bedlinen and towels are included, plus rather lovely toiletries including shower wash, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion.

 

There is a washer dryer with laundry detergent.

 

Cots are available on request for wee ones.

 

E-bikes are also available to hire on request.

 

EV charging is available on the estate. 

Booking Details & Costs +

The cottage costs from £290 per night, with a minimum stay of three nights on a self-catering basis.

Arrival at our cottages is from 4pm, while we ask that you check-out by 10am on your day of departure.
