Killiehuntly Farmhouse

Killiehuntly farmhouse has stood watch over the sprawling Cairngorm mountains since 1850. A lot may have changed since then, but the slow and gentle rhythm of life at Killiehuntly certainly hasn’t. Then, as now, the house sat as a haven in the landscape – a beautiful, simple shelter from the hurry and haste of everyday life.

“Anchored in the classical heritage of a Scottish country house, influenced by contemporary Danish design.
Stay

Our Rooms

Killiehuntly Farmhouse is an easygoing guesthouse for up to eight people. You can help yourself to a cold beer or a little negroni from our honesty bar whenever the fancy takes you, or sprawl on the sofa with a good book after a day exploring the hills. Life at the Farmhouse is about taking the day at your own pace.

Our Food

Meals at Killiehuntly are unhurried, heartfelt and rooted in a sense of home. We cook simply, serve generously and invite guests to settle into the gentle rhythm of the farmhouse.

Each morning begins with a hearty breakfast, while afternoons bring a warm drink and a slice of cake to tide you over until supper. Evenings are marked by relaxed, family-style meals gathered around the kitchen table, shaped by generosity and the pleasure of hosting.

Guests staying longer can order complimentary packed lunches for days spent exploring. Before supper, take a moment by the open fire with a drink from the honesty bar, a quiet ritual to close the day.

Things to do

At Killiehuntly, the wild landscape becomes your silent companion, and each experience is designed to help you slip easily into its rhythm. Whether you wander on foot, cycle, swim or simply unwind, there is space for connection and calm.

Nestled in the heart of the Cairngorms, Killiehuntly invites you into its quiet world. Explore the forest and learn to breathe again on a guided nature walk, or feel your pulse quicken on an e-mountain bike as you ride into wild space.

Lean into deep relaxation with a sauna yurt nestled among ancient trees or embrace a crisp wild swim in a hidden river pool. Every moment here is an invitation to slow down, reconnect with the land and leave refreshed.
