Stay

Your Space

The perfect base from which to explore mystical Loch Ness and the surrounding landscape, South Bothy is nestled in the lush expanse of the estate’s grounds. A cosy double bedroom lies on the ground floor, complete with an en-suite bathroom and views of the surrounding greenery.

Upstairs, an open-plan living-dining-kitchen space is an idyllic spot to work, write, or enjoy good food and drink. Made for those seeking slowness, South Bothy is a refuge for solo travellers, couples or close friends. Dogs are most welcome.

Food for the soul

Indulge in long, lazy brunches or evenings feasts, embracing the slower pace of Highland living.

Bathed in natural light, and fully equipped as if it were your own home, a minimalist kitchen unit is found on the upper floor of the Bothy.

Guests can choose between an intimate meal in the dining space, an alfresco meal under the sky or heading out for dinner.

Things to do

The skies seem wider here. Watch the light change as you sit out on the patio, sipping morning coffee or sampling fresh, local produce prepared on the barbecue. Find creative inspiration on the loch shore and true wilderness in the hills, before returning to your Highland home for long dinners under the open sky, boots left to dry by the front door.

At South Bothy

From South Bothy, set out on a slow wander through the meadows and woodland trails that fringe the southern edge of the estate. One of our team can guide you along lesser-known paths, sharing small stories about the land, its wildlife and the quiet restoration work happening here. The walk ends in a tucked-away clearing with a simple treat to enjoy, offering a gentle way to connect with the estate and its peaceful, living landscape.
