Your Space

Geordie’s Cottage includes a double and single room on the ground floor with a shared bathroom.

The ground floor also hosts a dining and living space with a log stove, and a kitchen stocked with essentials.

The cottage also includes a washer/dryer, toiletries, towels, a good suppy of fire wood and cleaning supplies.

The garden has a little patio area with outdoor seating and a BBQ grill for warmer days. The first floor includes a twin room and a seperate shower room.

Our Food

Geordie’s Cottage sits within the wild surrounds of the Cairngorm National Park. Stretching across undulating mountain tops, expansive wetlands and thick, native forests, the national park is home to a rich array of wildlife and local culture.

Geordie’s Cottage is offered on a self-catering basis only. That gives you the freedom to cook whatever you like during your stay, or contact a third party caterer if you wish. We have stocked the kitchen with some good staples, including salt & pepper, cooking oil, tea, coffee, milk and some lovely, welcome treats.

Things to do

Geordie’s cottage is a wonderful basecamp for wild adventures. It overlooks the Cairngorm National Park towards Kingussie, and sits at the heart of an extensive conservation area punctuated by ancient forests, rolling mountains and secluded lochs. It is a house with nature at its heart.

Geordie’s Cottage sits in a secluded corner of the Killiehuntly Estate, surrounded by paths that lead straight into the Cairngorms. Spend slow days wandering forest tracks, climbing nearby hills or dipping into clear stretches of the River Feshie. Visit Ruthven Barracks or Loch an Eilein for a touch of Highland history, then explore local galleries, farm shops and cafés.

Cottage Details +

Geordie’s Cottage accommodates five guests with a double and single bedroom on the ground floor with a shared bathroom, and twin room on the first floor with separate shower room. The ground floor has a dining and living space with a log burning stove, and the kitchen. The cottage garden has a little patio area with outdoor seating and private driveway with parking.

What amenities are offered at Geordies Cottage? +

In the cottage you’ll find:

 

Plenty of logs, firelights, kindling and matches.

 

Basic kitchen provisions of toilet paper, washing powder, dishwasher tablets and soap will be in your cottage for arrival as well as some larder provisions to get you started – tea, coffee, milk, bread, jam, yoghurt, oil, salt and pepper – plus a BBQ for outdoor cooking. There is a coffee machine with coffee pods.

 

All bedlinen and towels are included, plus rather lovely toiletries including shower wash, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion.

 

The kitchen has a dishwasher and washer dryer with laundry detergent.

 

Cots are available on request for wee ones.

 

E-bikes are also available to hire on request.

 

EV charging is available on the estate.

Killiehuntly Farmhouse is an easygoing guesthouse for up to eight people. You can help yourself to a cold beer or a little negroni from our honesty bar whenever the fancy takes you, or sprawl on the sofa with a good book after a day exploring the hills. Life at the Farmhouse is about taking the day at your own pace.

Meals at Killiehuntly are unhurried, heartfelt and rooted in a sense of home. We cook simply, serve generously and invite guests to settle into the gentle rhythm of the farmhouse.

Each morning begins with a hearty breakfast, while afternoons bring a warm drink and a slice of cake to tide you over until supper. Evenings are marked by relaxed, family-style meals gathered around the kitchen table, shaped by generosity and the pleasure of hosting.

Guests staying longer can order complimentary packed lunches for days spent exploring. Before supper, take a moment by the open fire with a drink from the honesty bar, a quiet ritual to close the day.

What is included in my stay? +

All stays at Killiehuntly Farmhouse include breakfast and a hearty set three-course dinner, both served around a shared dining room table with the farmhouse’s other guests. A packed lunch is included to enjoy on your daily adventures.

Guests can also enjoy use of the Sauna Yurt and cold plunge.

There is an honesty bar for pre-dinner drinks which can be enjoyed in one of the farmhouse’s sitting rooms in front of the fires.

EV charging is available in the farmhouse’s carpark.

As supper each night is a set menu, we ask that guests inform us of any dietary requirements in advance of staying to give our chefs time to prepare accordingly.

Check in is from 3pm, while we ask that you check-out by 11am on the day of departure. Early check in and late check out can be requested in advance and is dependent on availability.

The Hayloft can be booked as either a self-catering retreat, or as a hotel room with meals served in the Farmhouse.

The Farmhouse welcomes children aged 10 and above.

Our Rooms

Glenfeshie Lodge comfortably sleeps up to 10 people across 5 bedrooms. For families, there are a further 2 children’s bedrooms. The private lodge, which dates back to the 1880s, presents itself at the most scenic location imaginable. Its situation is no accident, overlooking the mountains at the far end of the glen and the River Feshie streaming by below, to the green ancient woodlands surrounding the lodge.

Entering through the main door, you’ll be greeted by a large hallway that leads to a fantastic historic dining room, a spacious tartan living room with a large stone fireplace, both overlooking the breathtaking glen. Upstairs, historic bedrooms await.

Our Food

In the fully-catered lodge our skilled chef will cook delicious food from the best possible ingredients. Breakfast, a light lunch, afternoon tea and dinner, all tailored to you.

Alternatively, opt to go out for a day on a pony picnic that will take you to some of the most beautiful locations and stunning view points in the Highlands.

Kennels Cottage and Coire Domhain can be book out with Glenfeshie Lodge, providing exclusive use of the whole estate for up to 26 guests.

Can I book just one room at Glenfeshie Lodge? +

Glenfeshie Lodge is a private hire, exclusive-use lodge only as opposed to a hotel. Guests must book the entire lodge.

How many guests can stay at the lodge? +

Glenfeshie Lodge sleeps 12 guests across 7 bedrooms. Five of the bedrooms are ensuite, with 4 double rooms and a twin room. One of the double rooms can be twinned. The additional two single bedrooms are well suited for children or teenagers, and they share a bathroom.

Larger groups may choose to add nearby cottages on the estate.

What’s included in the exclusive hire of the lodge? +

The lodge is fully staffed and includes daily housekeeping, staff to look after guests, all meals prepared by our in-house chef. Guests have Glenfeshie, WildLand’s original conservation estate on their doorstep, with wonderful access to the countryside for walks, cycling, wild swimming and lots of other immersive nature experiences.

Coire Domhain Cottage accommodates ten guests, featuring one cosy twin bedroom and four double bedrooms. It includes a private ensuite shower room, two shared bathrooms with bathtubs and overhead showers, and an additional WC

 

There is a large sitting room  with open fire and dining area, plus a well-equipped kitchen with an AGA stove. Outdoors there is private garden with furniture and views of Glenfeshie, and a private driveway with parking.

There is a sitting room with open fire, a separate dining room, kitchen and utility room. Outdoors there is a private garden with furniture and drive way with plenty of parking.

There is a coffee machine with coffee pods.

The Killiehuntly Bothy includes a double and twin (bunk beds) room with a shared bathroom.

The farm office at Killiehuntly plays host to a little shop, where you can find curated food provisions as well as local spirits and beers to enjoy during your stay with us.

The Killiehuntly Bothy is offered on a self-catering basis only. That gives you the freedom to cook whatever you like during your stay. The Bothy also has a little BBQ grill and some outdoor seating, so you can enjoy the view on warmer days.

Things to do

Adjoining the bothy is a closed herb garden, a lovely place to sit and watch the sun set over the mountains beyond. The bothy is a wonderfully simple space to base yourself as you explore the Highlands.

From the Bothy, wander forest paths, cycle into the Cairngorms or dip into clear river pools. Nearby cafés, farm shops and gentle hill trails offer easy days out, while our team can guide you to favourite wild-swimming spots and quiet places to pause.

Ivy cottage sleeps four guests across two bedrooms. Both bedrooms are upstairs, with one having a small ensuite loo with freestanding bath in the bedroom. There is an additional shared cottage bathroom. There is an open plan kitchen and dining room, and a sitting room each with a log burner. Outdoors you’ll find a cottage garden with furniture and private parking. 

Each bedroom has it’s own staircase at opposite ends of the cottage, which is worth keeping in mind if you’re travelling with wee ones.

Ivy cottage sits on the edge of the Aldourie Castle Estate, on the road to Dores and opposite the village school – so it’s worth noting that it’s not the quietest or most remote of our cottages.

All bedlinen and towels are included, plus rather lovely toiletries including shower wash, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion.

 

For laundry needs there is a washer/dryer, iron and ironing board – plus laundry detergent.

 

EV charging is available at the Aldourie Castle Steadings for cottage guests.

 

Cots are available on request for tiny wee ones.

 

E-bikes are also available to hire on request.

Ivy Cottage costs from £415 per night, with a minimum stay of three nights.

You can enjoy your cottage from 4pm on the day of arrival. We kindly ask that you depart by 10am on your final day.
